Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar

Liverpool is widely known as a very fashion conscious city. Whether or not we always get it right is a matter of personal opinion, but the fact is, girls here spend a huge amount of time and money to look good. Outside of London, we spend more on beauty than anywhere else in the UK, a fact that doesn’t surprise me. Which is why it’s high time we had somewhere like Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar.

I went along to the opening today and was like a kid in a sweet shop. I took a couple of friends and pre-warned them ‘I’m going in now…I may be some time.’ First stop was the NARS counter – a first in Liverpool. So many lovely products, so little money, meep! Next, over to Shu Uemura and Tom Ford for the simple reason that these too are making their Liverpool debut at Harvey Nics.

All hail the arrival of NARS!

Next, we were offered chocolates my Millie Kendall (of Ruby & Millie) to entice us over to BeautyMART – a wonderfully bright little boutique selling the best of each brand as chosen by their team of experts. If you can only make a flying visit, this is the counter to go to as it stocks all different brands for all different price ranges.

Goodies

All the security and counter staff were polite and friendly, but the ground floor was rather crowded, making me dread the Christmas frenzy. There just didn’t seem to be much space in between counters. Upstairs, however, there’s the uber-glam champagne bar and hair and beauty salons. Perhaps this could be the place to escape Christmas shopping hell?

Next, we mosied over to Origins for a skin consultation and to book in for a facial next week. It’s a hard life I know, but this will give me just the excuse I need to pop back in store for a longer look.
